Registered office- A Book Shop of a Company where all the statutory registers and books of accounts shall be kept.
Every Company (including Subsidiary of foreign Companies and LLPs) registered under the Companies Act, 2013 or Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, shall have a registered office in the state where it is registered.
A Registered office (RO) is an official communication address of an entity. RO is a place where any communication will take place with the government and non-government authorities for various registration and receipt of notices and documents from stakeholders of the Company.
As per section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013, every Company shall have a registered office since its incorporation. Provided that at the time of incorporation, Company may provide any other address for communication purpose till it finalizes any other place as its registered office.
A Company shall intimate the Registrar about the registered office within thirty days of its incorporation.
Note-
All or any of the Company’s books of accounts may be kept at such other place in India as the Board may decide subject to the approval of the Registrar of the Companies called “Corporate Office”.
Change/ Shifting of Registered Office
In case of change/ shifting of registered office address, the Company shall notify the new address to the Registrar within 30 days of its transformation.
