Amendment for DIN KYC

In furtherance of the Government of India’s initiative to promote ease of doing business, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has simplified the compliance requirements relating to Director Identification Number (DIN) KYC.

Pursuant to the revised framework, DIN KYC shall be required to be completed once every three years instead of annually.

This amendment shall come into effect from 31 March 2026.

Accordingly, for DIN holders who have already completed their KYC, the next DIN KYC filing shall be due on or before 30 June 2028.

At the time of filing DIN KYC, the applicable form shall be as follows:

  1. DIR-3 KYC (Web-based): Applicable where there is no change in particulars such as email address, mobile number, or residential address.
  2. e-Form DIR-3 KYC: Applicable in cases of first-time DIN KYC filing or where there is any change in the particulars of the DIN holder.
