Appointment of Director
Every Company shall have a Board of Directors consisting of Individuals as Directors.
An Individual can be appointed to the Board of a company to manage day to day business of the company. Appointment of a director is to be done by following the provisions given under sections 152 and 161 of the companies act, 2013

Director Identification Number:
An individual intending to be appointed as a director shall have a DIN.

The qualifications to become a director:
The proposed Director shall be qualified to be appointed as a director of the company, he should meet the criteria as mentioned under sections 164 and 167 of the companies act, 2013
Appointment:
A director can be appointed at the Board Meeting or at a General Meeting of the Company.
Required documents to be filed:
- Consent letter from the proposed director to act as a director.
- Identity proof and Residential proof of the proposed director.
- Copy of Board Resolution.
Filing of documents:
The appointment of the Director is to be filed with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to take on record the appointment of directors.
Documents are to be filed with the Ministry within a period of 30 days from the date of appointment.
In the case of Foreign National:
An Individual foreign national can be appointed to the Board of the company and can act as a director of the company.
